The 200 mile Coast & Castles South cycle route (National Route 1) links the Forth and Tyne estuaries, taking in some of Britain's best built and natural heritage, including Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site, unspoiled coastline and the beautiful Tweed Valley before arriving in Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city.

This edition of the map also shows National Route 76 between Edinburgh and Berwick-upon-Tweed via Dunbar following the coast for much of the route, National Route 68 between Norham and Alwinton with links to Rothbury and Alnwick, and National Route 196 between Penicuik and Pencaitland.

Day rides on and around the route are also shown along with sections of the Borderloop, 4 Abbeys and Tweed cycle routes
